Elwood Public Library link to Overdrive
Public Libraries of Suffolk County link to Overdrive e-platform- From here students, staff, and parents can access a large number of e-platform items (books, audiobooks, magazines)
To access the overdrive platforms, patrons need a library card. However, if they do not have a library card, or their library card expired, our YA Elwood Public Librarian, Leah Isaac, advises patrons to email: reference@elwoodlibrary.org to get an Elwood Library Card issued to them. There is a self registration process on the Suffolk Country Libraries page https://search.livebrary.com/selfreg but card numbers issued from there will access Overdrive but will not have all the functionality and access to databases and Brainfuse that an Elwood library card will have.
Additionally, (and this is awesome!), Brainfuse is still open and accessible. They've extended their hours (1pm to 11pm) to accommodate more time to help students. To access Brainfuse click: Brainfuse Help Now
Patrons will need a library card # to access. Fortunately, the 6th graders were shown how to use and access Brainfuse last month!

Here is a video tutorial on the functions of Brainfuse Help Now: Brainfuse Help Now video tutorial, please note that Elwood patrons just need to put in their library card number to log in and access and do not need to set up accounts with their information. However, patrons may want to set up accounts, if they want their previous help sessions to save.
