Hello! I am at EMS on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! I'm looking forward to teaching lessons again this year. I will be posting all information for the students on their chorus google classrooms as the year begins. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I encourage parents to check in with their student to see when their lessons are, and to check in on eschool to see if they are attending regularly.
Students are scheduled for weekly chorus lessons, and are expected to attend 4-5 lessons per quarter, based on the quarter. Lessons rotate each week, so students do not have to miss a class more that once per quarter. A make up lesson in the form of a written assignment will be made available during the last week of each quarter. All lessons must be completed for the end of each quarter, respectively.
Lesson Attendance/Grading:
Meeting the lesson requirement each quarter counts for 20% of their chorus grade. If students have not attended half of their required lessons before five week notices, Mrs. P. and I will mark that down "missing lessons," on their five-week notices, and continue to encourage attendance for the remainder of the quarter. Additionally, I will place a lesson grade in eschool every two weeks, as attending. bi-weekly will ensure completion of the lesson requirement.
Schedules:
Schedules can be found on their google classroom, and posted in the chorus and lesson rooms. Ms. P. and I will make sure students feel confident reading the schedule as they begin. Students should only attend lesson when their group is scheduled, or they have discussed attending a make-up lesson with their classroom teacher, and chorus teachers.
Please email me any time throughout the year if you have any questions, or require some flexibility in scheduling. We are always happy to work something out, when given appropriate time and reason to do so.
