No Place For Hate Committee
The ADL No Place For Hate Committee comprises students, staff, and community members dedicated to establishing an inclusive and supportive school environment. By developing lesson plans, organizing school-wide events, and engaging in culture-building activities, NPFH aims to reduce bullying and promote understanding among everyone. Meetings are held monthly, and all are welcome to participate. Join today to make a difference and ensure your voice is heard!
Courage
Inclusivity
Respect
Accountability
As a NPFH school, we maintain six ideals that are essential for establishing an environment where all feel safe and have a true sense of belonging. These ideals include:
I will seek to gain understanding of those who are different from myself
I will speak out against prejudice and discrimination
I will reach out to support those who are targets of hate
I will promote respect for people and help foster a prejudice-free school
I believe that one person can make a difference - no person can be an "innocent" bystander when it comes to opposing hate
I recognize that respecting individual dignity and promoting intergroup harmony are the responsibilities of all students, staff, and community members
Students are encouraged to become an ally against hate by taking the pledge each year. The pledge signing is the NPFH's first school-wide activity each year. It reinforces the message that everyone is welcome at JGHS, and it reminds us of our responsibility to ensure that kindness and empathy prevail throughout our hallways. Take a look at the 2023-2024 Pledge video, created by the NPFH committee, student governments, and school community in collaboration.
