Dear Third Grade Families, WEEK #9 – OCTOBER 6-10 – (Min. Day Friday)
Welcome to the LAST week of the 1st Quarter of Grade 3. Wow, the days go swiftly by. This is the end of the quarter so book reports need to be turned in this week! Most students have LOTS of stars! Great!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK:
...Studying the AMAZING Bible stories of Moses. God used him to deliver the Israelites back home to the Holy Land, much like how Jesus guides us through life to go back home to Heaven some day. Mount Sanai was scarry but awesome with God telling us His commandments. We’re working in a “Moses Booklet.”
...We got to study 2 more Indian tribes, the Kwakiutl and the Cheyenne. The buffalo was used for SO MANY things!
...WE have started to practice our Pilgrim/Indian play. Some students have learned MANY lines already! We’re all trying to work diligently on them. Keep it up!!! The dancing is fun.
...We finished reading “Charlotte’s Web” and the journal and then ENJOYED THE MOVIE!! We even had popcorn and cookies. What a great afternoon! The movie was terrific.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES ARE NEXT WEEK. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU.
