Dear Third Grade Families,  WEEK #5 - September 8-12, 2025 -(Min. Day-Fri.)

Welcome to Week 5!  Another week where we can learn many new things and grow together in the love of Jesus!  We enjoy working and playing together so much!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK:

…Learning the Bible stories of Abraham and acting out the sacrifice of Isaac.  We learned the connection of Isaac to Jesus.  God the Father sacrificed His Only Son for our salvation.  The students can’t wait to do more plays with costumes.

…We finished the Dr. Seuss stories and activities.  Sharing our “Wocket Pocket” books we wrote was fun.  Our class finished the journal and got to see the movie, “Horton Hears a Who.”  What laughter erupted from our classroo!.  They truly enjoyed that movie!  We are also excited to read “Charlotte’s Web” now.  There are lots of “Wilburs” waiting to be held.

…The class got lots of marbles for always bringing back their folders, and won a trip to the park.  We enjoyed the hundreds of ducks, but only saw a couple turtles and fish.  It was fun to play there…especially the swings.

…We continued the study of geography and enjoyed coloring landform maps of our United States.  Next week we’ll begin the Native American chapters already!

…We also keep working on our math facts, studying clocks and fractions, working in our Handwriting book, and writing in our journals.
