SEA ANIMALS 

IT'S TIME TO NAME SEA ANIMALS IN ENGLISH AND LEARN SOME CHARACTERISTICS ABOUT THEM. 

First of all, we introduce the topic by means of an enganging song about sea animals food chain. After that, we talk about the animals that appear in the song by playing several activities with the flashcards. 

LET'S WORK ON DIFFERENT STATIONS TO PRACTiCE ALL THE NEW CONTENT!

After introducing the new vocabulary it's time to put it into practice in small groups. Each group do an activity focusing each time on some specific skills.

DOMINO (speaking and reading)

This is an adapted material from the traditional game, domino. In this case, they match the picture with the word. They need to read the card to know which picture matches with it. They also name the word to reinforce speaking. 

MAKE THE WORD (spelling)

In this activity students do a puzzle with each animal word. First graders need to practice spelling because English becomes difficult to write. They get aware of how each animal is spelled. 

TRACE THE WORD (writing)

STUDENTS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO WRITE IN eNGLISH. THAT'S WHY THEY TRACE THE WORDS BEFORE WRITING THEM FOR THEMSELVES.
