My name is Laura Stewart, and I am entering into my 7th year of teaching. This will be my 3rd year teaching 5th grade at Elmwood Elementary! Prior to Elmwood, I have taught in Dunlap, East Peoria, and Carrollton, Illinois. I am a Peoria-area native and proud graduate of Greenville University where I majored in Elementary Education. After graduating from GU, I have primarily taught at the middle school level and also worked as a public librarian.

My husband is also a teacher, and we have two young boys (Levi and Luke). We recently moved to Elmwood over the summer and love being a part of this community!
