MEET SACHA!
Hello, my name is Sacha (She/Her), and I am from Canada. I have traveled and lived in a variety of locations; so this can conclude that I enjoy traveling, as well as, visiting museums to learn more about a country's culture and language and looking at art. Also, I enjoy reading, sports, being outside, and listening to music with my cats. I now play the guitar and have begun to learn the drums as well, which I am thoroughly enjoying.
I once used to play the piano, however I did not continue, and I used to play the tuba as well in Middle School, which I did enjoy.
Elliot Smith is one of my favourite artists because of his distinct voice and his skill with the guitar, which is evident in his music.

"TENEBROUS FOREST"
"Tenebrous Forest" was inspired by an image of an owl resting in the dense but soothing foliage that connects with all the other living sounds hidden inside. The beginning of my composition depicts a sombre, quiet night that only focuses on the owl's characteristics and emotions; however, it builds to showcase all the other aspects of nature and how it all ties together. To musically express this illustration, the piece starts small and gradually increases to illustrate all the animals and noises in the woods, which is communicated by adding multiple layers. The climax is showcased by creating an echoing effect as well as having parts crossing to create the juxtaposition between the soft and dark characteristics of nature.
