Elms College now offers the following wireless networks:
Elms-Guest: Provides basic internet access for visitors who do not have an Elms College user account.
Elms-Community: Offers network access for personal devices such as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.
Elms: Designated as the current method for faculty and staff using Elms College-issued devices, will be transitioned to Elms-Secure in the future.
Elms-Secure: This new network will replace “Elms” in the future; it is designated for faculty and staff using Elms College-issued devices.
Connecting to the Elms network works the same way as it does now, using your Elms College account username and password. This network will be available for the coming months, but is being phased out for the two new networks, Elms-Community and Elms-Secure. More information will be provided throughout the Fall 2026 semester about this transition.
Recent enhancements to the wireless networks deliver improved security and user convenience. Notably, when you update your Elms College account password, your connected devices on the two new networks, Elms-Community and Elms-Secure, will remain authenticated and will not require re-entry of the new password to maintain network access.
This website provides detailed instructions for accessing each network, and summaries can be found at wifi.elms.edu, including a QR code to directly access your unique Elms-Community passphrase.
