Inspiration

Born on April 12, 1883 in Oregon, Imogen Cunnigham was known as an American photographer that specialized in plants, nudes, portraits, landscapes, and many other subject matters. Growing up in Seattle, Cunningam would end up studying at the University of Washington, earning a degree in chemistry. Once she regained her interest in photography, she would end up doing work in various areas including Germany, Seattle, and California. Most of her work in Germany revolved around the chemistry for platinum used for printing. She regained a career focused around photography in Seattle and California. At the age on 93, Imogen died on June 23, 1976 in San Francisco. In 2004 she was a Hall of Fame inductee for the International Hall of Fame Photography and Museum.
