My name is Calinda Ceterski. I am 18 years old and a nursing major at Elmira College. I have taken art classes all throughout high school and decided to branch out and take a Photography course. I truly have enjoyed this course, being in the darkroom and learning the process. It amazed me that now we can quickly snap photos with our cell phones.
The photos I took during this class are important to me because of the camera they were taken with. My Grandfather allowed me to take his camera that he bought in Germany while he was in the military. To think of how many moments this camera has captured over the past 40 years is amazing, from German landscapes, deer that my grandpa and his dad had harvested, now to the photos I have taken now of my friends, family and outdoor pictures. I plan on continuing to use his camera to capture more important moments.

I came across Paul Caponigro while I was I was looking for photographers for my class presentation. His work inspired me, with the detail of his work and the slight eerie feeling of his pictures.
