IHSEA Official 2022-2023 Games

Described as "soccer, but with rocket-powered cars," Rocket League involves two teams that use rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent's goal and score points over the course of a match.

Overwatch 2 assigns players into two teams of five, with each player selecting from a roster of over 30 characters, known as "heroes", each with a unique style of play that is divided into three general roles that fit their purpose. Players on a team work together to secure and defend control points on a map or escort a payload across the map in a limited amount of time.

The 2022-2023 Overwatch season begins in the Spring during late March. Be on the lookout for YTV announcements regarding the tryout process and other details!

Fortnite is a survival game where 100 players fight against each other in player versus player combat to be the last one standing. It is a fast-paced, action-packed game, not unlike The Hunger Games, where strategic thinking is a must in order to survive.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a fighting game for up to eight players in which characters from Nintendo games and other third-party franchises must try to knock each other out of an arena. Each player has a percentage meter, which raises when they take damage, making them easier to launch in the air and out of the arena. Standard battles use one of three victory conditions: Timed, where players aim to win the most points by defeating opponents within a time limit; Stock, where players have a set number of lives and must aim to be the last player standing; and Stamina, where players must simply reduce their opponent's health down to zero to defeat them. Players can adjust the rules to their liking and save them as presets for future matches.

Players play as one of a set of agents, characters designed based on several countries and cultures around the world. In the main game mode, players are assigned to either the attacking or defending team with each team having five players on it.

In League of Legends, players assume the role of a "champion" with unique abilities, varying around their class, and battle against a team of other player controlled champions. In the main game mode, Summoner's Rift, the goal is to destroy the opposing team's Nexus, a structure that lies at the heart of their base, protected by defensive structures.
