My name is Ms. Gabrielle Mattes and I'm the Spanish teacher at Emerson and Fischer Elementary Schools. I'm from Palatine, IL and went to the University of Dayton in Ohio to study Spanish and Foreign Language Education. After graduation, I moved to Spain to teach English for two years. I love to travel and have been to over 20 countries! My favorite thing about teaching is showing students the benefits of learning another language. It's not just a subject in school, it's a skill for life!
