Talk with them, have lots of conversations, answer the millions of questions they ask, tell them what you are doing, have them help you make lunch and talk about what you are using to do so.
Read books with them!
Sit down on the floor and play with them, no devices for either of you, a good twenty minutes of interaction.
Get outside, go for a walk, draw with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, just be outside, call it a nature hike. Ask them what signs of Spring they see.
I will be sending information and ideas of what you can do with your children regularly via the Seesaw app, if you are not connected to Seesaw I included your QR code to connect in your child's folder that you can pick up from the school. Please download the app and get connected. I will have some stuff on this webpage so that you can go back to it.
Get moving!
We use GoNoodle on days when it is too cold or wet to get outside. You can create an account for free:
There are some Beachbody kids videos you can stream for free right now too. Feel free to access those.
I sent an email on March 21st to invite you to use the app, or website, Epic! This is a great resource as it has a variety of books that you can read with your child. Some of the books will read to the child without someone reading it aloud. https://www.getepic.com/
At the top of this page there are links that would take you to either class, it shows you our daily schedule. Having a schedule helps kids, they like to know what is going to be happening next. As I look at those schedules there are some pieces that I think are nice to implement in your home routine, and I am sure many of you already do.
