About Me

The 2023-2024 will be my 16th year teaching science - wow!  I have taught in Malcolm, NE and Gibbon, NE in addition to Elm Creek.  I have taught a variety of subjects -- Chemistry & Advanced Chem, Physics, Earth Science, Astronomy, Biology, Physical Science, Middle School Science (7th & 8th), Forensic Science, Robotics and even Pre-Algebra and Intro to Pre-Algebra!  I love it all, but especially love teaching anything Middle School :) 

I have been married to my husband, Tyler since 2007.  He is the director of Pharmacy at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, NE. We have three children -- Ethan (8th grade), Drake (5th grade), and Quinn (3rd grade), two dogs (Chewie and Bert), 3 farm cats, and a bunch of chickens keeping us busy at home.  All five of us enjoy doing anything active together, especially biking, running, and playing whatever sport is in season for the kids.  You can find us out on the gravel roads most days running with the kids while they bike and letting our dogs burn some much needed energy!
