The AP Coordinator will provide a list of testing students to the attendance office prior to testing, and students will be excused from classes from the exam reporting time until the end of the exam. We will also note students who have to travel from another school to arrive at their testing site. See your school's testing schedule for report and approximate end times. These will be posted in mid to late April.
Families should plan transportation depending on students needs for individual exam schedules since reporting times may be earlier than buses typically arrive and exams may last beyond the end of the school day. Contact your AP Coordinator if you anticipate issues or have concerns about being able to access your exam(s) on time.
Morning Exams: Most morning exams will dismiss in time for students to attend most or all of 3rd block, including their assigned lunch period. Students will be excused form 1st and 2nd block. Return to class times will be noted in Infinite Campus attendance.
Afternoon Exams: All afternoon exams will require students to eat earlier. Dismissal times will be noted in Infinite Campus.
For students with two tests in one day: We recommend that you pack your lunch. Students must remain in the testing room until time elapses and all materials are collected. They may not be excused early, per College Board's policies. This limits the amount of time between exams for students who need to report to a second test.
For students with two tests at the same time on the same day: Please contact Heather Lemke (Brookfield Central) or Kristin Newhouse (Brookfield East) to make arrangements.
Athletics & Activities: Students may miss athletic activities due to exams that run up to or slightly past the school day. Students may not be excused from testing rooms until time elapses, even if they are finished. Check your athletic and activity calendars in advance and communicate with coaching staff and advisors.
