An industry-based learning experience provides students with the opportunity to connect academic and technical skills to real-world settings.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education and ECASD requires all students to complete one of the following:
3 hours Job Shadowing at 3 different locations (9 total hours)
Internship (6 weeks)
Career Mentoring (at least 6 hours)
Apprenticeship (certification)
Service Learning (6 weeks)
Industry Recognized Credential (certification)
Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments in the following academic areas:
Algebra 1
Biology
Literature
The Pennsylvania Department of Education and ECASD require students to be proficient in all three assessment areas OR fulfill the requirements of an alternative pathway.
