It’s time to take a trip around the world!

But first you have a problem to solve. The land you will visit is very unique. It may be extremely hot or extremely cold. It may be very wet or incredibly dry. How will you prepare for your journey? What will you bring with you? What will you do while you are there to adapt to your surroundings? Look to the plants and animals you have studied that live in these areas for clues. How they adapt to the environment may help you identify how you will need to prepare.

Traveling Shoes

You are almost ready to set out on your journey. You are such an expert on your destination, you have been asked to help design the “dream shoe” for your assigned environment. Use what you have learned in this module to help you design the ideal shoe for adventure. Think about what you will be doing on your trip. Will you be climbing? Will you get wet? How will what you design help you get the most out of your visit and keep you safe? Think about the adaptations of the plants and animals in this area. Use clues from their adaptations to help you design the ultimate travel shoe.
