Welcome to Kindergarten Art. We spend the first quarter of the year learning about all the supplies that you would find in an art kit. Color pencils, crayons, chalky pastel, oil pastel, and markers are used to create pictures. The second quarter is spent exploring 3-d shapes with clay. We use oil based modeling clay, air dry clay, and model magic clay. Third quarter is the painting unit. Tempra paint and water color paint are covered. Fourth quarter is divided into printmaking and drawing. Students will create with stampers and using fabric crayons make bags to carry supplies in. Drawing starts off with utilizing shapes to draw and then moving on to circle and stick to create people.
