Purpose
The goal is to offer unique and tailored experiences to empower our young student-artists to explore their realities, relationships, and ideas. These disciplines engage and motivate all student-artists through active learning, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving. Exploring the fine arts target brain function and increase student academic achievement, higher-order thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. Students will develop aesthetic and cultural awareness through exploration that leads to creative expression (TEA, 2020). Ultimately, making the fine arts relevant to college and career readiness and opportunities, workplace environments, and social skills, which is something that EHS excels in.
