Field Trips

Field trips are held at various locations in Utah, always on the same day. There should be one close to you, but students are welcome to attend any field trip as long as parents are willing to drive. Elevated Charter School does not provide transportation to or from field trips, and a parent or legal guardian must sign each student in and out, if the parent/guardian is not staying for the field trip. Siblings and parents are welcome to join most field trips at the discretion of each venue, but need to pay for their admission, at our discounted school/group rate. Parents pay the school directly if they want to attend field trips or bring non-enrolled siblings.

There is no charge for enrolled students to attend field trips. Parents/guardians and non-enrolled siblings pay the school the discounted school/group rate. Payment must be made to the school at least 24 hours prior to the field trip day and start time.

There are no refunds for field trips less than 7 days in advance of field trip date.

School-led field trips are limited to enrolled students and their immediate family members (parents and siblings). Grandparents can attend in place of parents or if approved based on need. Extended family, including cousins, aunts & uncles, and friends cannot attend school-led field trips.

Siblings of enrolled students who are under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Field Trip Day!
Monday, May 11th

Ogden Nature Center (North A & B regions)

Drop-off time: 11:45 am
Pick-up time: 2:00 pm

Please join us at the Ogden Nature Center for a fun experience! We have the opportunity to participate in 2 of their Springtime educational experiences, and can't wait to see what they have in store for our students.

The Nature Center has strict regulations regarding the educational nature of this field trip. Parents and non-enrolled siblings may remain at the Nature Center, but will not participate in the student activities that are designed specifically for K-9th grade science standards.
If you plan on remaining at the Nature Center, parents and non-enrolled siblings ages 2 and up will be asked to pay regular admission at the door. Adults are $6, and children ages 2-12 are $4.

Natural History Museum of Utah (North-Central region)

Drop-off time: 9:45 am
Pick-up time: 12:00 pm

Come for a fun teacher-led tour of the Natural History Museum of Utah. Our staff will have mapped out each level with fun facts and activities to keep the fun rolling.

Parents and non-enrolled siblings ages 2 and up will be charged a Tier I fee per attendee. Please pay for this field trip HERE.

Dinosaur National Monument (North-East region)

Drop-off time: 8:45 am
Pick-up time: 11:00 am

Tour the Dinosaur National Monument with Elevated! This field trip will include a 1-mile hike through the Fossil Discovery Trail, so please come dressed and ready for the weather. You may register your student HERE. Registration will be open until Friday May 1st.
There is no charge for parents/non-enrolled siblings to attend this field trip with their student(s).

Heber Valley Railroad (Central regions)

Drop-off time: 12:15 pm
Pick-up time: 2:30 pm

We are so excited to have the opportunity to ride the Heber Valley train for this field trip! We have a very finite number of seats available for this field trip. As such, priority for this field trip will be given to students first. When completing registration, please be sure to read all information provided, and answer the questions accordingly. Students and required parents/caregivers will be given second consideration, and parents/non-enrolled siblings will be registered as space allows. If you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to read all information first, and then reach out to your Education Coordinator or Tiffany with any additional questions or concerns.

You may register your student(s) HERE. Registration will be open until Saturday April 11. There will be no late registrations allowed.

If there is space, registered parents and non-enrolled siblings ages 2 and up will be charged a Tier II fee per attendee. Families will be notified if they are able to attend this field trip with their student(s) and instructed to pay at that time.

The Farm (South region)

Drop-off time: 8:45 am
Pick-up time: 10:45 am

For this fun field trip, Elevated students will be enjoying a tour of a working farm, feeding livestock, and enjoy free play on all the fun attractions.
You may register your student HERE. Registration is open until Saturday April 18th.

The Farm has strict regulations regarding crowds within the venue at a time. At the request of The Farm staff, parents are encouraged to drop their student(s) off for our assigned field trip time. This helps eliminate overcrowding within the venue.

Parents/non-enrolled siblings will be charged a Tier II field trip per person, if space allows. I will reach out to families to let them know if we are able to accommodate additional family members, and provide cost amounts and the payment link at that time.
