Michael is a graduate of the University of Michigan and George Washington University. He currently teaches economics at Western Nevada College and also serves as a local mountain bike coach, where he mentors youth in both skill development and perseverance. Michael’s background in higher education, paired with his hands-on coaching style, allows him to connect with students of all ages and help them unlock their academic potential. Michael brings patience, energy, and a practical teaching style that makes learning engaging for students of all ages.
Allison earned dual degrees in Environmental Science and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Michigan. Since 2020, she has worked as an educational tutor and, since 2023, as a therapeutic wilderness mentor. She is also a Medi-Cal Certified Peer Support Specialist, equipping her to provide unique guidance that blends academic support with emotional resilience and well-being. Allison has experience in the nonprofit sector, where she worked on education, research, and policy projects to build healthier communities. She is dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to both quality education and public mental health supports, recognizing these as essential foundations for success.
