FEMM Hub Training Session: Putting Magnetic Materials to Work

On Wednesday the 19th of July between 1-4pm, Hub Director, Professor Geraint Jewell will be leading the latest FEMM Hub training Course titled "Putting Magnetic Materials to Work". 

This training course will start by providing an engineering focussed introduction to both hard and soft magnetic materials covering magnetic, electrical and mechanical properties. The course will then describe the numerous practical, design and manufacturing aspects of deploying magnetic materials in electrical machines. The interaction between magnetic properties and machine performance will then be explored through several design studies. The course requires no specific background knowledge beyond a general grounding in engineering or physical sciences.
