ทีมนักศึกษาคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์กานต์ คำแก้ว และอ.ภูมิ ทรัพย์ไพบูลย์กิจ อาจารย์คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ คว้ารางวัลที่ 3 ในการประกวดออกแบบระดับนานาชาติ "Guangdong-Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay and ASEAN International Colleges and Universities Construction Competition and Forum & Tianhua Bamboo Design and Construction 2018 " ณ Guangzhou Nansha Bird Park เมืองกวางโจว ประเทศจีน เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 8 ธันวาคม 2561

ผลงานการออกแบบของนักศึกษาในครั้งนี้ เป็นผลงานที่ร่วมกันออกแบบและสร้างจริง ณ Nansha Bird Park ระหว่างวันที่ 22-26 ตุลาคม 2561 โดยมีสมาชิกในทีมทั้งหมด 10 คน ได้แก่ ศตายุ แสนคำ, ชนวีร์ สายหยุดทอง, ณัฐวัฒน์ คำก๋อง, พงศธร เงินงาม, เกียรติศักดิ์ วงค์ไชยา, ปรัชกร วันทา, สุธางค์กุล กาบคำ, พิชชาพร คีรีแก้ว, อุบลพร มนัสศิริเพ็ญ และสิปปกร สอนปิงคำ

โดยผลงานการออกแบบนี้มีชื่อว่า อรุณรี (Arun-naree) ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจาก "ความพลิ้วไหวของขนนก" เมื่อขนนกสัมผัสกับสายลม แสดงให้เห็นถึงขนนกที่แข็งแรง และความสนุกสนานร่าเริงของนกนานาชนิดใน Nansha Bird Park

นอกจากนี้ ทีมนักศึกษายังได้นำเสนอภูมิปัญญาพื้นถิ่นร่วมสมัยของประเทศไทยลงไปในผลงาน ซึ่งก็คือการใช้ภูมิปัญญาดั้งเดิมในการเชื่อมต่อไม้ไผ่ การเตรียมวัสดุด้วยมือ และวิธีการมัดและเชื่อมไม้ไผ่โดยไม่ใช้ตะปูและน็อต ซึ่งเป็นวิธีการที่ใช้กันส่วนใหญ่ในเขตภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย วิธีการนี้จะทำให้โครงสร้างเคลื่อนไหวได้อย่างสะดวก และยังเป็นการนำเสนอถึงความอ่อนน้อมและความเคารพของชาวไทยที่มีต่อชิ้นส่วนของธรรมชาติอีกด้วย

Students team from the Faculty of Architecture CMU led by Assistant Professor Karn Khamkaew and Lecturer Poom Subpaiboonkit, lectures of the Faculty of Architecture won the third prize in "Guangdong-Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay and ASEAN International Colleges and Universities Construction Competition and Forum & Tianhua Bamboo Design and Construction 2018" at Guangzhou Nansha Bird Park, Guangzhou, China on December 8, 2018.

This construction was designed and built at Guangzhou Nansha Bird Park on October 22-26, 2018. The team includes 10 students, which are Mr. Prachakorn Wanta, Mr. Chanawee Saiyudthong, Miss Ubonporn Manussiripen, Mr. Nattawat Khamkong, Mr. Sippakorn Sornpingkum, Mr. Kiattisak Wongchaiya, Mr. Pongsathorn Ngurnngam, Miss Pitchaporn Khirikaew, Mr. Staryu Sankham, and Mr. Suthangkul Kabkhum.

The bamboo construction is named "Arun-naree." The structure of it derives from the fluttering birds feather in contact with the wind. The flexibility of bamboos also invigorates the whole structure pieces by allowing resilience movement and with the combination of birds feather notion, the whole design represents vigorous feathers and lively birds in Nansha Bird Park.

The birds feather bamboo structure utilizes Thailands local wisdom by employing its indigenous knowledge of bamboo joineries, hand-prepared materials, binding and strapping methods without nails or screws. The methods of which were used predominantly around northern region of Thailand where the knowledge not only allows the structure to move unreluctantly but also representing our humbly regard towards the organism of nature at our utmost respect.

งานประกวดออกแบบตกแต่งบ้าน หัวข้อ อยู่ "บ้านท่าน" อย่านิ่งดูดาย : Sustainable-Innovative-Realistic SCG HOME SOLUTION เมืองวัสดุ เมื่อวันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562 ณ เซนทรัลพลาซ่าอุบลราชธานี

โดยผลงานนี้มีชื่อว่า 'สัจจะ-ร่วมสมัย' เป็นบ้านพักของครอบครัว 5 คน ที่มีอายุต่างวัยกัน ซึ่งมีแนวคิดมาจาก การคิดถึงความเก่า-ใหม่ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นช่วงอายุ การใช้ชีวิต รวมไปถึงเทคโนโลยีวัสดุที่นำมาใช้ในงานต่าง ๆ จะผสมผสานเข้าด้วยกันอย่างเท่า ๆ กัน การใช้ความเป็น สัจจะวัสดุ หรือ วัสดุทดแทน มาออกแบบบ้านหลังนี้ ที่เป็นตัวแทนถึงการบอกความหมายถึงความรู้สึกแนวคิดนี้ออกมา

Mr. Patsakorn Yana, a third year student of the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University has won second runner-up in the Design Competition: Sustainable-Innovative-Realistic SCG HOME SOLUTION on February 23, 2019 at CentralPlaza Ubon Ratchathani. The design was named "Satja-Ruamsamai," it is a house of a 5-people-family, who are in different generation. The concept of the design focuses on oldness-newness in many aspects such as the generation, way of living, and technology used in the design. The design is equally combined between the oldness and newness, which can be seen in the use of substitute materials in the house.

คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จัดกิจกรรมการเสวนาพิเศษ FACMU Talk เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษา และคณาจารย์ ได้พูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นถึงความเป็นไปได้ของกิจกรรมใหม่ ๆ ข้อเสนอแนะ และปัญหาต่าง ๆ ในคณะ รวมถึงแนะนำชมรมต่าง ๆ

The Faculty of Architecture has organized FACMU Talk, a floor for students and professors to share and exchange opinions on the future possible activities, suggestions, and problems in the faculty as well as to present the clubs in the faculty. The faculty administrative board and professors who's joined the Talk includes Asst. Prof. Ronawee Suwantamalee, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and Human Resource Development, Asst. Prof. Karn Khamkaew, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs and Cooperate Communications, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rattapong Angkasith, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Professional Relations Association, Dr. Chiranthanin Kitika, Lecturer, and Lect. Warong Wonglangka, Lecturer. The Talk is a floor to make a clear understanding about the activities and to explain the role of the faculty in the teaching and learning system as well as to explain about facilities in the faculty.

คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ จัดการบรรยายพิเศษหัวข้อ รักษ์เมือง ลดฝุ่นควัน โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก อ.จุลพร นันทพานิช อาจารย์พิเศษคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มช. บรรยายเรื่อง ต้นไม้ในเมืองใหญ่ ขจัดฝุ่นละออง และ การบรรยาย เรื่อง แนวทางการจัดการสภาพแวดล้อมในสถานที่ทำงานเพื่อลดมลพิษ โดย ผศ. รณวีร์ สุวรรณทะมาลี รองคณบดีฝ่ายบริหารและการพัฒนาทรัพยากรบุคคล คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มช. เมื่อวันที่ 13 มีนาคม 2562 เวลา 17.00 - 19.00 น.

The Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University (FACMU) has organized a special lecture on the topic of "City Protection, Smog Reduction" on March 13, 2019 at 5.00 - 7.00 p.m. It was a great opportunity to have Lect. Chunlaporn Nuntapanich, special lecturer of FACMU, to give a lecture on "Trees in Big Cities and Dust Removal" and to have Asst. Prof. Ronawee Suwantamalee, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and Human Resource Development of FACMU, to give lecture on "Working Environment Management Guidelines to Reduce Air Pollution."
