CLAPTECH PATHWAY AT LTPSS

"LIFE IS FULL OF POSSIBILITIES. SO SHOULD YOUR STUDIES AND CAREER PATHS."

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust funds the CLAP-TECH Pathway ("CLAP-TECH") as part of the Jockey Club Multiple Pathways Initiative. This project, which is a three-way collaboration between our school, industry partners, and Hong Kong Baptist University, equips students with valuable skills, competencies, and work ethics through non-traditional education pathways, allowing them to take on "new collar" roles that are becoming more popular across industries.

Through in-class learning and workplace exposures, students explore and develop their interests, skills, and competencies over the course of a five-year journey. CLAP-TECH starts with an Applied Learning course at the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) level and progresses through the levels.

We share the responsibilities and co-create the CLAP-TECH Pathway within mainstream education. Our school helps graduates to achieve dual educational and industry recognition. We also review the curriculum and learning path for the Applied Learning ("ApL") course and the Higher Diploma ("HD") program on a regular basis to ensure that learning and workplace outcomes are aligned. Our hope is to encourage a CLAP-TECH Pathway learning community comprised of driven students, committed instructors and mentors, and supportive parents.
