We are currently working on the perimeter and area of rectangular shapes.
Please continue working on basic multiplication and division facts and how to use them to solve one-step and multi-step word problems. There are resources on Khan Academy and IXL if your child needs extra practice. Check Class Dojo for current sections of IXL that would help your child practice these areas .
We have learned all the basic addition and subtraction facts and how to use them in story problems. Please practice these basic facts with your child until he/she can fluently say the answers. There are websites like the ones above and apps for kids to practice on their own. Flashcards can be turned into a game, too. Let me know if you need ideas. We have been using Math Talks in class to help students think about these facts in a more flexible way. Ask your child about this. Thank you for your help at home.
