Important Meeting
In an attempt to adapt to the times we live in, the boosters are making some big changes to how we fundraise for the future. Because of this, we are going to hold a parent meeting for NEW and RETURNING members on Wed, 5/29 at 6PM in the Eldorado PAC. We'll be going over the planned financials for next year and outlining our fundraising strategy with everyone. We are hoping to dramatically decrease the student fees needed to support the operational costs of this band program, but it will take a little effort on the part of the entire band community to make that happen, much of it during our summer months so we can hit the ground running by the end of band camp.
Please do your best to attend this meeting - it should only be about 30-45 minutes, depending on the number of questions, but the boosters want to get everyone on the same page so we can raise what we need over the summer months.

AND a word from Mr. Sayre...
Hello Eldorado Band Community,
We are in full graduation mode for our seniors. After that we will prepare for the band final and get everything checked out or checked in for next fall and band camp. We have our show music and I will be going to the middle schools to distribute the parts to our incoming students. Here is a link to the show that we are doing this fall. We think you’ll have a blast putting it together with us. A few items for the upcoming week:
Graduation on Wednesday Evening:
Below and here is the itinerary for Wednesday afternoon. Dress for the event is to dress nice or dress in all black for the performance.
EHS Graduation Itinerary
4:00 PM Meet in the Band Room with instruments and cases
4:45 PM Load Buses (no equipment truck)
5:00 PM Depart for TIngley Coliseum
5:30 PM Arrive at Tingley, Unload (do not leave anything on the bus)
7:15 PM Ceremony Ends (estimated end time)
7:30 PM Load Bus
8:00 PM Estimated arrival at EHS
Put all instruments and equipment away
Drum Pad Sessions:
These will be Tuesday and Thursday this week at 5:00 PM. Mr. Cuevas and Mr. Galdoney will be running the sectional time. This will help us to determine part placement for the upcoming fall marching show. All percussionists should come.
Shirt Sizing for Upcoming Season:
We need to size all members for their performance shirt for the upcoming marching season. Mr. Snowden will get all you on Monday at EHS and we will take the shirts to the middle schools separately to get everyone sized.
Finals:
Will be a submitted recorded excerpt from the Allstate etudes and selected scales. Look in Google classroom for specifics. This will be posted soon.
Sheet Music for the Upcoming Fall Marching Show:
Directors will pass out music to you. There is a specific part that you will be assigned to play for the show for each movement. We will also specify what parts you will play of pep tunes. Section leaders will not decide part placements for pep tunes or the marching show unless given specific direction by the directors at EHS.
Summer and Band Camp dates are on the https://www.eldorado.band website. Subscribe to the Google Calendar so you don’t miss anything. Let us know if there is a potential conflict with summer dates. Band camp is always at about the same time every year (Middle of July) so this will help any of the incoming students and families plan for future band camps in years to come.
Thanks for all your hard work this year! Let's finish the year strong!
GO EAGLES!
