Lesson Overview

Welcome to our class!  This lesson has been designed to help you make the transition to learning online by helping you build on the skills you already have, so you can have a positive experience in your online courses, including ours. 

Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

1. Identify the skills you have that can be used for online learning

2. Explore the common myths about online learning

3. Understand how written communication works in an online course

4. Identify active reading skills you can use in your online courses

5. Identify the best note-taking strategy for you

6. Set goals and identify effective time management and organization strategies for studying

7. Understand how multitasking impacts learning

8. Understand how to check for feedback provided in Canvas and utilize it for success.

9. Define academic honesty and explain why it is important.
