Wait-list Policy

SPRING 2025:

Term Start: Tuesday 02/18

General Info: Prior to the official start of the term, wait-listed students will automatically be moved into a course as space opens.

Once the term begins, instructors add approvals for students to complete registration via My ECC > Register for Classes > select course > “Register Now”.

Instructors may revoke approvals if students don't do this in a timely manner.

Wait-listed students are approved in the order they appear on the wait-list ("first come, first served") if space is available.

Students who are not on the wait-list need to email their request to the instructor, including their ECC student ID number.

Wait-listed students have priority, but adding still depends on space available.

My Policy:
On the first Monday of the term, I approve the first few students on the wait-list.
Enrolled students have two tasks they must complete in order to reserve their place in class (it's like showing up on the first day).
If these tasks are not completed by the first Monday night of the semester, the student is dropped on Tuesday morning.  More students will be approved, as space permits, throughout the add/drop period.
