Support for You

El Camino College has a number of resources to support your success:

Me

What is my role? Well, as your professor, I am the person you would want to contact if you need clarification about any of our assignments. While I strive to make this course clear so that you can see your pathway to success, I understand that what I think is clear may not be clear to you. So, really--please let me know if you have questions about the assignments! I also understand that learning online can be a bit lonely. Teaching online can be lonely as well, so please reach out to me to let me know what's happening on your end.

You can always message me through Pronto or through Canvas. Please see the communication plan for more information.

Online Tutoring

The Reading and Writing Studio offers help on writing assignments, such as essays. You don't need to have a rough draft in order to get help from them; they can help you with pre-writing activities such as brainstorming and coming up with a thesis statement. For information on how to schedule a zoom or to email them a rough draft, please click on this link to the Reading and Writing Studio's website.

The SEA Success Center primarily offers help on reading assignments. If you feel like it's taking you a long time to get through the reading assignments for your classes or if you feel like your readings are difficult to understand, SEA Success Center tutors can give you helpful tips on how to conquer your reading assignments. Please click this link to the SEA Success Center in order to find out how to schedule a tutoring session.

The ECC Tutoring Hub offers both zoom tutoring and in-person tutoring on a variety of subjects. The tutors are peers (or recent graduates) who have completed the course they are tutoring for with a grade of B or better. If you think you would feel more comfortable talking to a peer, tutors are there to help you! For more information, including tutor availability, please click this link.
