Lesson Overview

To be successful in school, you need many skills; one of them is technology skills, or to be "tech smart."

This doesn't mean you have to know anything fancy! To be tech smart means to know some tech basics, like how to communicate with your professors and peers using technology, how to research information online, and how to use some of the devices, programs, and digital learning features that are available to you as a student at LBCC.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate your ability to use Canvas, LBCC Viking e-mail, and your Viking Portal.

  2. Compose an e-mail to your professor.

  3. Define digital literacy and explain why it is important.

  4. Demonstrate your ability to seek extra tech help and services provided on campus.
