Robert Griffith Agricultural Learning Center
Last year, a group of students pioneered the planning and construction of an Agricultural Learning Center near the football practice field. This center will hold animals throughout the year and will expand to include beekeeping, raised garden beds, and other species. We are on track to have a grand opening for this project in Spring 2024. This space will be a great way for your student to learn in a hands-on fashion and develop important employability and agricultural skills. We are excited to utilize this space this year! A donation of $60,000 was given to the Agricultural Learning Center from the Robert Griffith Estate Trust.

Stan & Effie Egertson Memorial
The Egertsons had two great passions…agriculture and young people. They generously donated $25,000 to the ELC Foundation to be used to refurbish the Greenhouse at the ELC High School. Voc-Ag & FFA students have enjoyed the remodeled space very much. Both programs are flourishing at ELC.
Griffith Memorial Playground
This project started as a joint effort with the partnership of ELC P.A.T. and previous Demoney teacher Bethany Phillips to plan and fundraise for new playground equipment for the preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students at Demoney Elementary. Through various fundraising efforts and the generous donations through the Robert and Audrey Griffith trust, we were able to raise nearly $80,000 for the purchase and installation of new equipment that will hold 32-28 students as well as the installation of safe, rubber ground material. Installation should be complete by Fall 2022.
Frank Fuss Memorial
In 2007, the family of Frank Fuss donated $3000 to the ELC School Foundation to honor his respect for education. Our new middle school was nearing completion, so the Foundation Board elected to create a memorial which includes a flag and bench/seating area as a permanent tribute to Mr. Fuss’s memory. The memorial stands just outside the Middle School entry on 1st Ave South.
ELC Foundation Partners With Community
The ELC Foundation partnered with several groups to fund the purchase of a new LED sign to be placed on Central Avenue outside the ELC High School.
