ABOUT US
The Elbert County Alternative Education Program (AEP) serves the educational needs of middle school students (Grades 6-8) and high school students (Grades 9-12). Most of the students who enroll in the program have gone through the student disciplinary process (Tribunal or Waiver). Other students may attend the program on a conditional voluntary basis, or through credit recovery options, depending on their specific learning style or needs. The Alternative Education Program (AEP) utilizes the computer-based learning model through the Odysseyware curriculum. Students can still earn the credits or classes needed to be on track academically, but in a smaller and more structured, disciplined environment. When behavioral and academic requirements are met, students have the opportunity to return to their home school within the district.
