FAQ: ABOUT OUR SWITCH TO GMAIL

Q: Where do I log into my Email Account?

A: Once we are cutover to G-mail you will login at http://mail.google.com or by following the Google Account Sign in page on the www.elbert.k12.ga.us site

Q: Is My password the same password that I use to login to my computer or into my old outlook emal?

A: Your google password is not synced with your Active Directory Password that you use to login to your computer.

For those who have never logged into your Elbert County Gmail your login is the same as your email address, i.e. someone@elbert.k12.ga.us

If you have not used your Google Account before Your initial password will be changeme after your first login you will be prompted to change your password.

Q: Will I see my old email from outlook?

A: All of your folders will be moved from Office 365 to G-Mail, all of your documents will be migrated from Office 365 one drive to Google Drive. Initially you will see the past 2 months of email, folders, which are called labels in G-Mail. Within a week of our cutover, all of your historical data will be migrated over.
