I studied literature, music, and the arts at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  After college, I spent a year teaching English overseas and fell in love with education.  When I returned to the U.S. I worked as a substitute teacher, a librarian, and in technology here at East Knox.  This is my seventh year teaching second grade.

My husband, Justin, and I live on his family farm with our three children: Aurora (9), Olivia (7), and Garrett (5).  I have been to twelve different countries, I worked as a professional artist for twelve years, and I am a classically trained pianist.  Reading, napping, and eating are my favorite things to do, and my favorite animals are cats.
