I have had an interest in basketball since a young age, and I started playing on teams when I was nine years old. I have a confident and positive basketball IQ, which allows me to understand plays and adapt to the court dynamics. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.

Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I plan to enter the medical field specializing in orthopedics. I have seen injuries on the court and hope that my education will give me the ability to help many recovery and teach players how to move and avoid injury.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to my peers and make my parents proud.

Reflection over the Small World Initiative

Over the course of professional skills of biology: foundation, I have been given many different forms of feedback, influencing my next papers and experiments. This feedback has given me new light on all of my papers I have ever written, as many of them were very informal, without any formatting. With this classes specific format requirements, I have began to write all of my papers in APA format along with having citations with all my work. With the feedback, I have been able to create my most valued papers, while also being the papers that I have worked my hardest on.

Upon coming into this class, the amount of self guided lab work really shocked me, as I was completely unprepared and always used to being guided and helped along the way of lab work. However with this amount of lab work, it has helped shine a light on one of my greatest flaws, that being self motivation. This class has really helped me be able to push myself and motivate myself into finishing everything that was assigned without having someone have to look over my shoulder and make sure I am doing everything correctly.
