The counselor schedules an appointment at a time appropriate for the students. The interview will help the counselors to know more about the student in terms of self, family, school concerns, peer relations, and other significant information, to identify students who have concerns that need to be addressed and to ensure that all students are met and followed up every school year.
• Short-term individual counseling
Individual counseling is offered to help students resolve personal or interpersonal problems.
• Group counseling
Small group counseling is organized to help students enhance listening and social skills, learn to empathize with others, and find social support through healthy peer relationships.
• Psychoeducation
The counseling team provides seminars on mental health awareness, handling bullying, study skills, and other topics.
• University and Careers Support
Our primary aim is to equip students with the essential skills for their future adult lives, with a strong focus on career management. Starting from Grade 9, students actively engage with our dedicated high school counselors who provide guidance throughout their time at EIS, from the initial stages until graduation. Throughout their high school years, students have valuable opportunities to connect with college representatives from various institutions through college fairs, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about their future educational pathways. Our high school counseling team is committed to providing ongoing guidance and support to students, ensuring that each individual benefits from personalized action plans developed through individual interviews.
Events
1. Two International University Fairs - September 2024
KIC University Fair
AEO University Fair
At EIS, we hold two yearly university fairs designed for our high school students. During these events, colleges from various countries, including the US, set up booths on campus. This gives our students a unique opportunity to interact with college representatives and learn more about the application process, scholarships, financial aid, and other essential information. We invite parents to participate in this informative event as well. The university fair is an invaluable platform for students and their families to gather crucial information about different universities and make informed decisions about their future education.
2. Thai University Fair - October 2024
At EIS, most of our students are Thais, and many choose to pursue their university studies in Thailand. We organize this event annually to cater to their needs and provide guidance. It allows students to meet about 30 university representatives and gain valuable insights into scholarships, the application process, and other essential information. Parents are also warmly invited to participate in this event. It is crucial in helping our students make informed decisions and plan their academic futures effectively.
*The university list will be provided via email before the event.
3. Career Day - February 2025
We host an annual Career Day at EIS, inviting professionals from various fields to visit our school and occupy different classrooms. High school students can explore their career interests by visiting the speakers in the classrooms that align with their specific areas of interest. This interactive format allows students to broaden their knowledge and gain valuable insights into the careers they are passionate about.
