Mechanics 10 is designed to provide students with an introduction to the automotive trade. Students complete introductory modules, such as Basic Tools and Materials, Engine Fundamentals, Vehicle Service and Care, Electrical Fundamentals, Ride and Control Systems, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, and Mechanical Systems.
Mechanics 20 is designed to introduce students to the First Year Automotive Service Technician technical training. Students complete 5 ASA modules (single block class) or 10 ASA modules (double block class). Students also perform service work on customer vehicles.
Mechanics 30 is designed to further student knowledge and skill development in the automotive trade. Students are encouraged to complete all 15 ASA modules and write the First Year Automotive Service Technician exam through Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
