Information 

The Cross Country season has an inclusive design intended both for high volume of participation and to prepare runners for City and Provincial Championships. Runners should be aware of the following classifications for Zone and Provincial competition:

• Juniors

  • ​Under 16 as of September 1st

  • Womens - 4000 metres; Mens - 4000 m

• Intermediate

  • ​Under 17 as of September 1st

  • Womens- 5000 m; Mens- 5000 m

• Senior

  • Under 19 as of September 1st

  • Womens - 5000 m; Mens- 6000 m

2023 Cross Country dates

• Wednesday September 20th 2023

  • Popsicle Meet @ Rundle Park - 4:30pm start, not timed by metro 

• Wednesday September 27th 2023

  • Open Meet @ Rundle Park - 4:30pm 4000m Girls, 4:45pm 5000m Boys

• Wednesday October 4th 2023

  • Classified Meet @ Goldbar Park - 4:15pm start

  • Different start times based on the age category of the runner. 

• Wednesday October 11th 2023

  • Edmonton City Championship @ Goldbar Park - 1pm start

  • Different start times based on the age category of the runner.
