Construction Trades Educational Curriculum of Effingham County
Construction Trades Education Curriculum (CTEC) is a nonprofit educational organization based in Effingham dedicated to introducing students to the fundamentals of the construction trades. LIFT Central Illinois is an Illinois Area Career Center for high school juniors and seniors. Students explore career pathways, earn industry certifications, and gain hands-on, real-world experience. LIFT combines dual credit, internships, and industry credentials to prepare students for college and careers. Since opening in 2022, LIFT has grown rapidly, creating meaningful opportunities for students throughout Central Illinois. Our mission is to help students lead their learning, discover their talents, and lift their future.

Gain hands-on experience in Basic Automotive Repair and prepare for further education or a career in the automotive industry. Learn from experienced college faculty while developing practical skills, including:
Shop safety & OSHA 10 Certification
Tire services and vehicle inspection
Automotive detailing
Rigging and hoisting equipment operation
Basic welding techniques
Note: Classes follow the Lake Land College academic calendar, which may differ from your high school schedule.
