Attendance:
Morning Exams Report Time 7:30 AM (Auditorium)
Afternoon Exams Report Time 11:30 AM (Auditorium)
You are required to report to your AP Exam on the given date and time (Check MyAP for your schedule). The exams have been scheduled by the College Board and are given nationally on the same dates and times.
As far as school attendance is concerned, you will be marked as EXEMPT for the whole day on the day of your exam. This means you can arrange drop off/pick up for before and after your exams, and the remainder of your day will be excused. If you do not have EHTHS driving privileges and cannot arrange drop off/pick up during the day, you are required to attend your regularly scheduled classes before or after your exam.
Please note that morning exams require you to be in the auditorium by 7:30. If you have a morning exam, you can take the bus to school. If you have an afternoon exam, you must be in the auditorium by 11:30. Most afternoon exams go beyond school hours and will require pick up after 3:30.
Driving:
Students who already have EHTHS driving privileges may drive themselves to their exams. There will be a separate email sent to seniors who do not have EHTHS driving privileges that outlines the procedures for applying for a temporary AP driving permit. This is for SENIORS ONLY. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE OTHER STUDENTS TO OR FROM SCHOOL
Schedule Conflicts with Exams: If you have an athletic or activity conflict with one or more of your exams you need to email me as soon as possible with all of the details. Field trips and regularly scheduled games/sporting events are not considered conflicts that are eligible for make-up testing.
For example, track sectionals are on 5/15 and that is considered a "special" event, not a regular race.
Although I appreciate the heads up, I will not order you a make-up exam until you are actually absent from the regularly scheduled exam. Many times sporting events are delayed or canceled for weather, so if your event is rained out, you will still be able to sit for the regularly scheduled exam.
Exam Day Procedures:
Report to the auditorium at the given time for your exam. Attendance will be taken in the auditorium. If you are late, the test will not be delayed for you. Again, these dates and times are issued by the College Board and are observed nationwide.
Once attendance is taken, you will be escorted to your testing location. To expedite this process, please have ALL electronic devices powered off and stored safely in your bags. When you get to the testing room, you will be asked to put your bags in one location and your snacks/beverages in another location. Every AP Exam has a 10-minute break between section 1 and section 2. You are permitted to eat a snack during that time, and it is highly recommended you do so! You cannot have any personal belongings or food at the testing stations with you. If you are taking two exams in one day, please bring lunch to eat between exams (more than just a snack).
No one is permitted to leave an exam early. The proctor will dismiss everyone at the end of each exam after full time has elapsed.
Calculators: Some tests require calculators, so you must provide your own. Calculators are built into Bluebook for exams that requirement. Please check with the AP Calculator Policy to determine which tests require a calculator and which calculator you use. If you are able, please bring back up batteries for your calculator. Calculators will not be provided. Proctors and testing staff will be checking your calculators on exam day.
Phones, smartwatches, headphones, smart glasses, and any other smart/electronic devices are prohibited in the testing room. Students should not bring large bags or backpacks. You can have a small bag for personal items, but you will not have access to this during the exam. Please come prepared with sharpened #2 pencils (non-mechanical) and dark blue or black ballpoint pens.
Here is a list of things students can bring to the testing room:
School-Issued Chromebook & Charger
Sharpened No. 2 Pencils (non-mechanical)
Pens with black or dark blue ink
Appropriate calculator for Bio, Calc, Chem, Enviro, Macro, Micro, Physics & Stats
A ruler/straightedge (for Physics ONLY)
Snack/Drink for the break
A small bag for personal items (if needed)
You must bring your school-issued Chromebook, fully charged. Personal devices are not allowed. Prior to exam day, you must use your school device to open Bluebook (in the apps at the bottom, do not login to the computer). To do this, you must know your College Board account login. It will not be saved on your device, and you will not have access to your phone. On exam day, you will also follow these same steps to access your digital exam, so it is VERY important that you practice ahead of time.
Open Bluebook on your school device (in the apps at the bottom, do not login to the computer)
Login to Bluebook with your College Board account
Confirm you have a test card for your digital AP Exam
