Dear Families:

We are extremely excited to announce that this summer we will have required summer reading for all middle school students. Research shows that reading over the summer reduces summer slide and promotes academic success throughout the school year.

5th, 6th and 7th grade:

Students have spent the year in a reading workshop and to continue to foster that love of reading, we want students to choose a “just right” book to read over the summer. ”Just right” is a book that the student has not already read , about something that he/she is interested in, and that he/she can read independently and with ease.

8th Grade:

Future EHT High School Students are given an assignment by their 9th grade teachers. They have a list of books to choose from. Please select the link below to learn more.
