Professional Development Opportunities

• In June, two days of all-district professional development opportunities will often be offered and in August, the week before school begins, EH will hold an array of staff-driven workshops.

• Additionally, there is a list of pre-approved opportunities in the PIR Booklet.

  • • The Teacher Learning Hub from the Montana Office of Public Instruction is pre-approved for 12 hours.

• Also, other professional development opportunities may be submitted to your administrator for approval via email. Be sure to describe how it will benefit you and the district. Include detailed course descriptions including links or course documentation, brochures, etc with your request. Requests MUST BE be turned in to your administrator for consideration at least three (3) weeks prior to the registration deadline of the workshop. All applications for summer workshops for PIR replacement must be turned in no later than three (3) weeks prior to the end of the student attendance year.

• NEW: Reciprocity with Helena School District (HSD): HSD and EHPS are now allowing teachers from both districts into PIR classes and giving credit to teachers for attending those classes. HSD offers courses throughout the year as well as in the summer. Periodically, offerings from the HSD calendar will be posted below.

• PIR requirements must be fulfilled by May 1.
