When we put these word parts together, research means we are searching again and again for the BEST information on our topic. For this assignment, you will look for information on the following:
Name of virus/disease
Type of pathogen - bacteria, virus, etc.
Symptoms & Causes - to understand what the condition is and why it happens
Diagnosis & Tests - to learn how doctors figure out if someone has it
Treatment & Precautions - to see standard medical care and management strategies
Statistics and/or map - to demonstrate global incidence
Any other significant info - example: it's on the rise, likelihood of survival, etc.
Use the accredited, verified links below (NOT google). Write the information on your paper in your own words to avoid plagiarism.
You will need to save the website links you used, so please make sure to add that site to your favorites in the toolbar OR copy and paste to a Google doc.

Now that you have gathered all your research, we need to cite it. This proves that you did the work! It is your opportunity to show your teacher how much research you did. Use the citation links with the slide directions to cite your research. You will create your own Works Cited as shown below. Save to your Google Drive as "Your first + last name - Virus project"

Finally, let's put all your hard work together and create your product! You can choose from a variety of options such as : brochure, infographic, or newsletter. Your project should inform the public about the disease as if there were a pandemic, with the goal of reducing the spread of the disease and increasing the likelihood of survival.
Directions:
Using your EGUSD portal, go to your Canva app. Use the search bar as shown below to type in different templates.
When you find one you like, select "Customize this Template." Edit from there to input your researched information and images.
To submit your project, click "Share" in the upper right hand corner. You will need to make sure to edit access to "Anyone with the link." See steps below. Add that accessible link to the top of your Works Cited. You are ready to submit your assignment to Google Classroom. Great work!
