📕 Lost Books

• • If a book is lost, the cost is the full replacement price. 

⏰ Overdue Books

• • If a book is overdue for more than 3 weeks, it will automatically be marked as lost, and a fine will appear on your account.

  • 👉 Good news: if you return the book, the fine is removed! 

📘 All Other Situations

• • Fines are determined case by case, depending on the situation. 

👉 What Should You Do?

• • If something happens—lost, damaged, or overdue—come talk to us in the library. We will help you with next steps. 

If the book is missing or has a damage fine, here’s how you can take care of it:

1️⃣ Pay in person (best option!)

Bring exact change or a check to the library and make the payment directly.

• If you’re paying by check, contact the librarian first to confirm whether it should be made out to the district or school site.

2️⃣ Pay online with MySchoolBucks (MSB)

Elizabeth Pinkerton MS now uses MySchoolBucks to make paying for lost or damaged items easy! You can use the MSB app or the website.

How to get started:

1. Go to MySchoolBucks or scan the QR code.

2. Create a free account using your email.

3. Select:

   • State: California

   • District: Elk Grove Unified School District

   • School: Elizabeth Pinkerton MS

4. Add your student(s) using:

   • Student First & Last Name (must match ParentVue/StudentVue)

   • Student ID Number

   • Student Birthdate

Once your student is added, you can easily pay for lost or damaged items online!
