Q: I can’t log-in, what’s wrong?

Use your district username to log on. For students, the username is their student ID number. Use the same password you use to log into the computer.

Q: I'm getting a prompt to verify my network password. Why am I getting this?

If you change your district password, you will be prompted to enter your new password in the portal. You will continue to be prompted each time you log onto the portal until you enter your new password. Type your new password in the Password and Confirm Password boxes and click on Submit. The password logon screen will look similar to this:

Q: What are the icons with the keys?

The keys show that the web app is able to pass-through your logon information. You should not have to re-enter your username and password when clicking on the apps with this icon.

Q: Can I log on from home? Do I need VPN?

Yes. You can login from home or any location with an Internet connection. You don’t need VPN to use this. Using VPN along with the portal can cause issues. At this time, we don’t recommend using both at the same time.

Q: Can I log onto SISWeb from home?

No. Right now anything in the EGUSD Network Only folder can only be accessed when you are on a district computer connected to the district’s network.

Q: What is MyFiles? Can I access other server folders from home?

My Files are where you can access all of you files on your H: drive and department/school network share. If you don’t see it listed, you can’t access it. You can also authorize access to your Google Drive under Manage Services.

Q: Why don't I see any folders in MyFiles?

Occasionally, it's necessary to manually force an update of your ClassLink profile. To perform this update, do the following:

  • Log onto the portal.
  • Click on the down arrow next to your profile icon (upper right corner) and choose My Profile.
  • On the left side of the screen, click on "Sign in with".

  • You will be prompted to enter a password which will be the same password you use to log onto a workstation or for email. Then click Submit and close the profile window.

Q: Will other applications be added later?

Technology Services is working to expand the applications available in the portal.

Q: Will I have to log onto the portal from home?

The portal is a single place that links to many of the applications you need. You can still log directly into the websites if you choose to do that.

Q: Do I need to use a specific web browser?

ClassLink works with any browser. In EGUSD, only Internet Explorer and Chrome are supported. However, on personal devices, Classlink supports most browsers. Extensions may be needed to access some features. You will need to install the extensions on personal computers only to get full functionality of the portal.

Q: Can I access this from my smartphone, iPad, Chromebook, etc?

Yes. There is a Classlink Launchpad app available for Android and iOS. The logon is a bit different though. You will need to log on as shown below:

Q: What do I do when I get this screen?

This is expected. Check the box to Remember my choice and click Launch Application.

Q: Why do I have to log onto my Google drive from the icon?

If you are not signed into the Chrome Web browser with your EGUSD account, it will ask you to sign in again. If you are using Internet Explorer, it will ask you to sign in every time.
