This ESL basic grammar course will provide an introduction into the foundations of English grammar with topics covering parts of speech, sentence structure, simple and progressive verb tenses, and writing basics.

Grammar and Writing II
This course focuses on skills or competencies that students need to succeed in an academic program and is designed to build grammar and composition skills necessary for academic writing. Academic vocabulary is incorporated into the course. Additionally, students will utilize classroom technology (computers, laptops) and access online resources created to enhance grammar and composition skills.

Burlington English Distance Learning (BEDL)
Burlington English is a Web based English speech recognition program. Students will improve their pronunciation, increase their vocabulary, learn grammar, and practice their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students can learn and practice English wherever they can log onto a computer. Students communicate with the teacher by email.
Tutoring and student assistance available by appointment.
Reading Lab
This online independent-study course focuses on reading skills and competencies students need to succeed in ESL. The class provides students opportunities to develop and refine their decoding and reading comprehension skills using Reading Horizons curriculum. Students will also develop digital literacy skills, content related vocabulary, reading strategies, and critical thinking skills. Tutoring hours are available.
Optional Zoom Tutoring Hours: Fridays 10am - 12pm
Computer Skills for ESL
These classes focus on computer skills needed to succeed in distance learning/remote instruction. Content will include using Zoom for learning, accessing instructional materials and uploading materials to Google Classroom, some keyboarding, and email basics.
