Director of Expanded Learning: Erin Sipes

Provides overall leadership and vision for the district’s Expanded Learning programs. This director oversees program operations, compliance, budgeting, strategic planning, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure students receive high-quality academic, enrichment, and recreational opportunities. The Director works closely with district leadership, school sites, community partners, and families to support student success and create meaningful learning experiences beyond the regular school day.

Program Specialist: Christina DeWaal

Supports the development, implementation, and quality assurance of Expanded Learning programs. The program specialist provides guidance and training to site staff, assists with program planning and evaluation, and helps ensure that all activities align with district goals and state requirements. The Program Specialist works collaboratively with site teams to create engaging, inclusive, and student-centered programming that promotes academic achievement, leadership, and personal growth.

District Coordinator: Maria Gonzalez

Serves as a primary support resource for school-site Expanded Learning programs and assists with the day-to-day coordination of services across the secondary ExL school sites. The coordinator helps monitor program effectiveness, supports site staff with operational needs, ensures compliance with program guidelines, and facilitates communication between district leadership and school sites. The District Coordinator is dedicated to helping provide a safe, positive, and enriching environment for all participating students and families.
