I love teaching music.
There are many teachers who have inspired me. My choir professor at Metro State University inspired me to keep singing and always value the choir setting. My piano teachers inspired me to stick with my instrument and continue to work at it always and forever.
I have taken Kodaly Levels I and II.. and have attended many Orff and Kodaly workshops....with hopes of continuing to learn through these workshops, classes, and learning opportunities offered through music educators everywhere.
My current inspiration is the following quote from Suzuki:
- "Teaching Music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart."
