Brendan Carniaux is a saxophonist, educator, and advocate for creative music education based in Rhode Island. At the heart of his artistic vision is a dedication to expanding musical philosophy, focusing on the intersection of improvisation and contemporary composition. His playing is characterized by a depth of purpose, patience, and a willingness to explore the unknown.
A significant figure in New England’s creative music scene, Carniaux has toured the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Luxembourg with various ensembles. He has also performed with Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Franki Valli, Lynyrd Skynrd.
In addition to his performance career, Carniaux is deeply engaged in music education. He is the creator of Inclusive Creativity, a workshop that explores free improvisation techniques for the music classroom, helping educators foster creativity and student-centered learning. His work in this field has led him to present at major conferences, including the NAMM Show, where he delivered a session on integrating free improvisation into music education.

When she’s not at the wheel, you’ll find her traversing the globe—whether it’s photographing inspiration in The Amazon in Ecuador or collecting techniques from artisans in Costa Rica. Stacey loves weaving her travel tales and cultural discoveries into her lessons, encouraging her students to see the world through art. For her, teaching isn’t just about molding clay—it’s about molding curious, confident creators ready to leave their mark on the world.
