Social Studies

Welcome to Grade 8 Social Studies! Our focus this year will be on early American history and on developing good informational reading and writing skills. 

The eighth grade Social Studies course overview is posted in the slideshow below and addresses the content, skills, standards, and resources that we will be implementing throughout the school year.  I have also included class expectations.

In addition to being posted on my Google Classroom, my Week at a Glance is posted below. This gives an overview of what is covered each day (helpful for absent students!), reminders and daily homework. Each week is posted as a tab, so please ensure you select the correct week.
